Laminated Glass
Laminated safety glass (VSG) is an excellent choice for safety glazing. This glass is composed of two or more sheets of transparent, colored, reflective or ornament glass interconnected by one or more PVB (polyvinylbutyral) foils with high tear strength. This film can be colorless or colored, with improved sound protection and a high degree of UV protection. Glasses can be in different thicknesses.
Compared to safety tempered glass, safety laminated glass does not break into small pieces in the event of breakage, which enables further protection after breakage. During mechanical changes due to overload or impact, the glass breaks, but as it is assembled with foil, it protects the broken opening.
This glass is used for glazing windows, doors of rooms in which there is a risk of breaking with sharp objects, from burglary and firearms. It is suitable for the glazing of buildings, roof structures, shop windows of valuable goods, aquariums, ponds, floors, but of course also for the glazing of post offices, exchange offices, banks and other premises and facilities that are frequent targets of burglaries.
